İznik Practical Training & Educational Trip (06.12.2025)

An educational field trip to İznik was organized on December 6, 2025, for students of the Department of Tourism Guidance at Balıkesir University Faculty of Tourism. The trip was conducted with presentations and guidance by Prof. Dr. Özlem KÖROĞLU, Head of the Department of Tourism Guidance at Balıkesir University Faculty of Tourism; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşen ACUN KÖKSALANLAR, a faculty member of the Department of Travel, Tourism and Recreation Services at Bursa Uludağ University; and professional tourist guide Nihat SAĞDIÇ.As part of the program, the Roman Theater, Hagia Sophia Mosque, İznik Tile Kilns Excavation Site, Süleyman Pasha Madrasa, Hacı Özbek Mosque, Tomb of Çandarlı Halil Pasha, Green Mosque, Nilüfer Hatun Imaret Turkish-Islamic Arts Museum, Lefke Gate, İznik Archaeological Museum, and the Underwater Basilica were visited.We would like to express our gratitude to the Rectorate of Balıkesir University for its valuable support in making this educational trip possible.
